'Tis the Season for Save 5% Give 5%

Happy Holidays from Comfort Plus! We are excited to bring back our Save 5% Give 5% Holiday Sale for the third consecutive year. The Comfort Plus Holiday Sale offers you a 5% discount on all orders, plus Comfort Plus will match that 5% discount with a donation to charity. This holiday season is the perfect time to give back to those in need, and through Comfort Plus, you not only get your incontinence and other healthcare supplies at a discount, you also get to feel good knowing your purchase made a positive difference for an important cause.

The Save 5% Give 5% sale begins December 2 and will end on January 1, 2020. This year, we are offering you the opportunity to select one of three charities during checkout to designate the matching donation.

To honor the history of Comfort Plus and a few of the populations we serve, the three organizations for this year's Save 5% Give 5% include Disabled American Veterans, Autism Speaks, and the National Center on Elder Abuse.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV)DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides support to veterans and their families. DAV helps veterans in a variety of ways, including providing rides to medical appointments, assisting in benefits claims, connecting veterans to jobs, advocating before Congress, and much more.

Autism SpeaksAutism Speaks is a nonprofit, national organization that advocates and supports the needs of individuals with autism and their families. A few of the organizations' goals are to increase the understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder and to advance research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and other related conditions.

ncea.jpgNational Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) – The NCEA is a national resource center dedicated to the prevention of elder mistreatment. The NCEA is a subsidiary of the Federal Governments Administration for Community Living and was established by the U.S. Administration of Aging. Research, practice, policy, and education are the four domains that guide the NCEA efforts.

Elder abuse is a cause that is very near and dear to Comfort Plus as a result of our founder, Martha O’Neill. In the late 1980’s Martha learned that her grandmother, Bessie Shippey, had been abused and neglected for 14 months in a nursing home. Martha began caring for her grandmother at home and was forced to find better incontinence solutions because of her grandmother’s skin breakdown, odor, and wetness. Martha discovered Tranquility, and soon after founded Comfort Plus in order to bring Tranquility products to the Southwest United States. Martha also worked with the Arizona government to transform elder abuse laws around the county!

2018 Holiday Sale

Thanks to shoppers like you, last year’s holiday sale raised over $1,500 for the Alzheimer’s Association, beating our initial goal of $1,200. Our contribution helped fund programs, provide caregiver support, and provide respite care for adults with Alzheimer’s and their families.

2019 Holiday Sale

Our goal for 2019 is to raise more than $2,000 for charity! Your purchases through Comfort Plus will help disabled Veterans find jobs and get to appointments, provide advocacy for people with autism and their families, and help grow awareness and provide training to reduce elder abuse around the country. Please join us in giving back this year; you will save 5% on your purchase, and we’ll match that 5% with a donation to one of three charities.

Thank you for joining us in this holiday season of giving!
