In 1992, Martha O’Neill created Comfort Plus to pay homage to her grandmother. A one-time country singer and natural performer, Martha loved her grandmother, Bessie Shippey. Unfortunately, as Bessie aged, she had to move into a residential care home where she became the victim of elder abuse, and as a result, developed incontinence.
Convicted by this experience, Martha decided to act. She began by campaigning for harsher elder abuse laws in the State of
Arizona, and culminated her work by opening Comfort Plus as a place where seniors could find the best incontinence products available.
Today, Comfort Plus remains committed to Martha’s vision. Although she passed away in 2003, we are still dedicated to the Tranquility Incontinence Products that Martha started marketing 15+ years ago. In addition, we have grown from a home-based business to a 5,000-square foot office and warehouse that carries personal care items, bathroom safety devices, and much, much more.
